Why we built Camping Booker

We absolutely love camping and all of the adventures that the Great Outdoors brings! From Festivals to campsites, but we were becoming increasingly frustrated by not being able to book a campsite online! The way it worked was you phoned a campsite (if you could get through) and try and book your pitch (if it was not already full)! It was simply a case of guess work and not very fast guess work at that!

As campers we wanted to be able to quickly see at a glance where we could go camping, find out a little bit more about our campsite destination before we went and safe in the knowledge that we had a space reserved.

We also knew that it was frustrating for the campsite owners too, as they get a lot of non arrivals from people not turning up because there is no financial commitment which makes it easier for them not to arrive!

Most people know that it is something special waking up on a beautiful morning having spent the night under canvas, campervan, caravan etc! Even a rainy night, in a cosy warm tent listening to the sounds of the rain going pitter patter on your shelter is something special too!

People go camping for whatever reason; it could be catching up with friends or quality time with loved ones. Or the thought of enjoying a cold beer, with no TV and being at one with nature! Or looking at the stars on a clear night, not a sound for miles!

Camping is an affordable and relaxing way to really indulge in quality time with friends and families. Whether you want peace and quiet, the cycling, walks, runs or visiting great locations, there is no better way than to get back to nature and recharge those batteries!
